ethereal dream folk ARt pop
My vision is to craft extra-celestial harmonies
that transport and heal not only myself but others as well.
The music, accompanied by thought-provoking messages and entrancing context,
acts as a beacon of brilliance, contributing to a more bearable,
heavenly world for all to exist in.
Through my music and presence, I extend an invitation for people
to embrace the full spectrum of their emotions,
inspiring them to integrate their light and dark facets.
I welcome others to join me on the journey I’m on as well–-
the journey to wholeness, to harmony–-
the journey to Anmara.
Short Bio:
Annabeth is the ethereal force behind Anmara, a project merging organic synth-pop, dreamy ambient folk, and “post new-age” into sonic catharsis. Echoing strains of Enya and Florence & The Machine, she invites us on a journey of emotional exploration and beckons us not just to listen, but to dive deep and fall in love with life anew.
Inspired by both inner and outer landscapes, her latest album, 'Make Belief', offers riveting escapist fantasies. She is currently self-producing a concept album called "New the Old" (with the help of her loyal patrons) which seeks to heal the rift between humans and nature with a modern twist on ancient ways.
The word Anmara refers to a mystical land made manifest when we cultivate HARMONY- between self, others, and planet.
Prepare to be transported, only to wind up back in the center of your Self.
Long BIo:
ANMARA’s MISSION IS TO BRING ENCHANTMENT TO THE WORLD, TO REIGNITE BELIEF IN HUMANITY, & to EMBRACE LIFE IN ITS FULL RANGE OF EMOTION.
Harmony doesn’t only exist in music, it's also something between people, planet, Spirit, and Self. Weaving these realms into a holistic experience, Anmara’s creator Annabeth strives to offer sonic catharsis in order to induce pure presence.
ANMARA IS A MIX OF organic SYNTH POP, ETHEREAL ELECTRONICA, AND DREAM FOLK, and has been called “post new-age.” INFLUENCED BY FLORENCE & THE MACHINE, Feist, bjork, GRIMES, AND AURORA, the live sound is a tapestry of loosely looped synth sounds that lean toward the natural and fae.
Layered instrumentation creates a backdrop for her crystalline vocals to soar and loop in on themselves. Her pure voice often echoes her Celtic lineage with strains of Enya, the Cranberries, and Loreena McKennett. She writes songs inspired by inner and outer landscapes: explosions, revelations, exultations.
ANNABETH'S LATEST ALBUM 'MAKE BELIEF' IS A PIANO BALLAD ALBUM WITH STRANGE POP TWISTS. THE THEME CIRCLES AROUND FLIGHTS OF FANCY--
—whether through fictitious imaginings, or the malleability of the mind to invent new thoughts, actions, and ultimately identity. It also explores the theme of death and the beliefs that hover around this unknowable mystery. The album acts as a trove of bedtime stories, riveting listeners into escapist fantasies that leave them marveling at their own life and imagining their own ghost.
Annabeth's albums are chapters in the book of her life, the pages of which show a highly varied style that parallels her constant personal evolution.
She uses her music to encourage everyone to dive deep into their personal journey, as the star of their own hero/ine's journey. Her unique, angelic sound has found reception in the hearts of thought-full sensitivities like herself around the globe.
Overall, Anmara is an invitation to fall in love with life again, with songs that are bittersweet, exalting life's hard-won lessons. She uses her music to create a new culture of self-care bound up with planetary care, in order to help us make it to the New Age closer to our fullest potential as a species, and not our very worst.
She performs her songs as wands she waves, that might magically make life worth living again.
In a harsh world, ANMARA is a welcome distraction away from the world, as well as a welcoming invitation deeper into it.
